Who we are

Life should be joyful and fulfilling. At Fashionfood 21 Ltd and Kimchimama, we hope to be a bridge to that happiness — through food made with love and passion. It is our wish and mission to bring people together and brighten lives, one dish at a time.

The Story of Kimchimama

The journey of Kimchimama began long ago in Hammersmith, West London — at a beloved Korean & Japanese restaurant called Yoshisushi.

For over 25 years, Yoshisushi built a loyal following and earned a cherished reputation as one of the first Korean-run restaurants in West London, serving both Korean and Japanese cuisine. Our regular guests came from Chiswick, Barnes, Hammersmith, Notting Hill, and West Kensington — a mix of actors, politicians, writers, producers, business professionals, and, most importantly, our lovely local neighbours.

Though Yoshisushi closed in 2024 due to a building renovation, its spirit lives on in Kimchimama. Our original kitchen team remains with us, and the trusted suppliers who supported us for decades continue to provide the quality ingredients we rely on today.

Yoshisushi was featured in major UK newspapers:

  • “Over the years, I have eaten at Yoshisushi several hundred times... and never has any of us had a poor meal.”
    — Matthew Norman, The Telegraph

  • “Not fancy, not trendy, but a perfectly prepared selection of fresh fish every day.”
    — Toby Young, The Independent

  • “A great restaurant needs soul — something Yoshisushi has in spades.”
    — Tom Parker Bowles, Mail on Sunday

  • Kimchi Workshops: Roll up your sleeves and learn how to make authentic kimchi—then take home your very own jar. These lively, hands-on sessions are ideal for food lovers, team-building, and cultural explorers.

  • Casual Dining & Takeaway: Whether you’re popping in or ordering to-go, you’ll find vibrant dishes like bibimbap, spicy chicken, Korean fried chicken, and kimchi jjigae—praised by guests for their bold flavour, freshness, and great value.
